How do we walk together? The observation of moving pedestrian groups, such as a few friends walking together, revealed a new kind of interaction in human crowds. |

In pedestrian counterflows, people walking in opposite directions spontaneously separate in two flows, which enhances the traffic flow. Under laboratory conditions, we have investigated on the behaviour of pedestrians at the origin of this collective organization. |
