I'm a research scientist, and I study the behaviour of human crowds. I try to understand how people interact with each other, and how these interactions generate collective crowd behaviors.

My latest paper entitled "Traffic instabilities in self-organized pedestrian crowds" is now published in PloS Computational Biology.



November 2011

The french newspaper Le Monde awarded my doctoral thesis with the prize "Le Monde de la Recherche Universitaire".
September 2011

I am starting a new post-doc position at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin. I am now part of the Adaptative Behavior and Cogntition group, headed by Gerd Gigerenzer.

My latest work, "How simple rules determine pedestrian behavior and crowd disasters", has been accepted for publication in PNAS.
